One of our libraries is launching the Six Book Challenge later today. I have received the materials I ordered, 2 packs to cover six main branches and six adult literacy areas, so not much to go around but they are too expensive.

We assume that registation forms need to be downloaded but how and where do we find them?

Great to hear that you're launching already in Argyll and Bute. We've been able to send Karen the registration form for 2010 and we'll be sending this and other templates out to organisations who have already purchased materials very shortly.

In fact the revenue from pack sales has to cover our costs to develop and run the Six Book Challenge each year(eg this website, promotion and advocacy, ongoing support, evaluation, etc etc) not just the design and print. So we hope you'll understand our need to charge a realistic price so that we can continue to build the scheme for the benefit of emergent readers across the UK.

You'll now find some general guidance and templates for the registration form, key dates planner and participation record - all downloadable from our Support section under Latest Resources. Please share these with organisations you are working with.

I wonder if the actual material is appropriate for adults. As it was originally based on the Summer Reading Challenge for children I do feel the Diary and Certificate are a bit childish.
I have also had feedback that for some people the very term 'Diary' is a bit off-putting. They think they have to write a diary entry rather than a quick review or a comment on the books read. What do others think?
