NEW We've just published Getting Reading to Work booklet with the TUC and Costa about how workplaces in Yorkshire and the Humber have been running the Six Book Challenge.
IMPORTANT****Tuesday 30 June is the deadline for entries to the national prize draw on offer from our sponsors Costa - an expenses-paid trip to London for the winner and guest.
We launched the Six Book Challenge in 2008 in association with Costa as a great way to get people into a reading habit. If they read six books and fill in a reading diary they are given a certificate and a chance to enter the national prize draw. Around 7000 people took part in 2008 through libraries, colleges, adult learning, family learning and workplaces. Well over 450 organisations are involved for 2009 so we hope that the participation figure will rise.
The main activity for the Six Book Challenge 2009 takes place until the end of June but it can be run at any time in the year so please get in touch if you'd like to join in. We will be announcing plans for the Six Book Challenge 2010 in July.
